Here are two analytical rubrics we created in Ellington to assess solo student performances of Hot Cross Buns. One includes hole covering the other does not.
In the original I had included tonguing. After some testing it out we decided this was one too many criteria to be concentrating on. Add tonguing back in for a more detailed assessment.

The retirement song I wrote for a retiring principal in my district. It was written, recorded, and performed in my basement. Not bad for home brewed stuff. Ok the singing needs some work but you get the basic idea of the song. If you are interested in using the song for a retirement at your school let me know.
